              a killer has been working these country roads of late

       them for fun, like the men who lived in caves on the Natchez 

 Trace in the day and who killed travelers for money and then 

              because they found out how much they liked killing. 

              Historian Robert Coates says these men would have been 

 like others if they'd stayed back east, though once they entered 

       the wilderness, they opened their own hearts 

 to the dark heart of the continent, breathed in its perfumed 

              appeal, beheld the terrible flowering of their madness, 

              and revealed by their violence how different they were 

 from other men, and I like this, it makes sense, 

       but I wonder if those men might not have been okay if they'd just 

 had girlfriends. It's one big black and white movie

He played obnoxious, poetry-writing anarchist Rick in The Young Ones with his friend Adrian Edmondson. The pair later starred in the sitcom Bottom.

A pioneer of the 1980s alternative comedy scene, Mayall also appeared in Blackadder and The New Statesman 醫療用品.

The BBC's David Sillito looks back at Rik Mayall's career

Police said they were called to reports of a sudden death of a man in his 50s at 13:19 BST on Monday, in Barnes in south west London.

London Ambulance Service said "a man, aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene".

The Metropolitan Police said the death was not believed to be suspicious.

Rik was inspirational, bonkers, and a great life force”

A Mexican man once listed as the world's heaviest human being died Monday at the age of 48.

Manuel Uribe had slimmed down to about 867 pounds (394 kilograms), well below his then-record peak weight of 1,230 pounds (560 kilograms), which was certified in 2006 as a Guinness World Record.

Uribe's death was confirmed by an official of the health department of Nuevo Leon state, where the city of Monterrey is located.

Uribe had been confined to his bed in Monterrey for years, unable to walk on his own.

The official, who was not authorized to be quoted by name, said Uribe had been taken to the hospital on May 2 because of an abnormal heartbeat.

He had to be taken to the hospital with a crane by emergency and civil defense workers.

Doctors have not yet certified the cause of death. In addition to the cardiac condition, Uribe was also believed to have suffered from liver problems.

Uribe married Claudia Solis in 2008, and the wedding was one of the few times he left his home in recent years.

Uribe was a chubby kid, weighing more than 250 pounds (115 kilograms) as an adolescent. Starting in 1992, he said, his weight began ballooning further.

Since the summer of 2002, Uribe had been bedridden, relying on his mother and friends to feed and clean him.

"What we observed was that stress worsens the performance of men in all three types of tasks. The opposite is true for women," Silani said.

The researchers said their original hypothesis was that stress would make people more self-centered across the board, so they were partly correct.

They also said they aren't sure why this is the case.
